4 years after their latest output I Saw Daylight are back with an EP. "don'tbeme" is edgier and more direct than the material-loving, sometimes dreamy sound of earlier I SAW DAYLIGHT releases. Lyrically, it remains personal and self-reflective, but with a noticeably more confrontational attitude. The production is more direct and clearer, without losing the emotional core. Overall, the track seems like a conscious break with old patterns, which nevertheless emerges logically from what has gone before.
