Misere - Ein Horizont am Tellerrand
VINYLS IN STOCK & SHIPPING NOW!
MISERE sound like packed basement shows, like bands playing as if their lives depend on it, and like DIY-hardcore without any forced aggression or testosterone-fueled posturing.
Playful guitars and emotional screamy vocals over driving drums and punchy basslines on the one hand meet a pronounced sense of catchy melodies on the other. At the same time, Serkan/g (Cages, ex We Had A Deal), Sven/b (ex Xiao Pangzi), Micha/v (Cages, ex We Had A Deal, ex Schönleben), Pete/d (ex Royal Tea Club) and Mike/g (ex Shove It) are too deeply rooted in early 2000s emocore not to constantly push their song structures to their limits and break them down, only to reassemble them once more.
Lyrically, MISERE's songs revolve around their personal sensitivities and their own place in the world, making their inner state of mind a subject to political reflection. MISERE recognize the state of affairs and, despite their scars and vulnerabilities, refuse to surrender to them.
These five musicians combine emotional urgency and German lyrics with sophisticated melodies to create captivating post-hardcore with classic emo vibes shining through. For comparisons: think The Saddest Landscape meets Yage meets Caravels meets Just Went Black.
